While I've never gotten nipped, Abbi would growl at me when I would try to reposition her on the couch. After some stern words, a period of not laying with momma on the couch, and a NILIF refresher for me, she's back up with me. It took a bit but I never caved to the big brown eyes and now she has to "ask" to get up on the couch with me. We still have our moments where she wants to push ranks with me, but that's when I know that I've been too lenient with her. It's so hard though!!!

Sorry, I have to laugh

You guys are cracking me up...the NILIF totally works with them and agree that the pecking order is out of whack while in bed.
I SWEAR my mom used the same tacktic on me too :o)
I never had skin kids and to be using it on my boxer and seeing you guys talk about it hits home, that our boxers are really more like children.

I'm really glad you presented this question b/c I was just going to ask everyone the same thing. Jackson is old enough to know better but last night, growled at me when i tried to get in bed. I was absolutely shocked b/c he has NEVER done that before. It broke my heart b/c I felt betrayed by my best buddy. After reading what you all have to say, he's in for a news flash tonight. NILIF is coming back and fixing this before it progresses! Thanks!!

get that dog out of the bed. Set up a nice spot in the bedroom. Next start on some training exercises to help the dog remember who is bow.
