Boxer Pal
My boxer is a 4 years old brindle female. I noticed about a week ago, a tiny zit forming about and inch or so below her eye. It started very small and over the course of the last 4 or 5 days has gradually gotten bigger and bigger and is now an open soar about the width of a pencil eraser. My boston terrier has been licking it occassionally and I have tried to keep a close eye on him but it seems like every time I turn my back he heads right for her. I have been occassionally cleaning the soar with hydrogen peroxide which seems to help a little. Anyone delt with some like this before? I am not sure what to do or how serious of a problem this is.

Sorry your baby has this going on. I haven't seen anything like that, but I'm sure that someone here might be able to help you. I would probably call the vet, but I am a big worrier. If you can take a picture and post it that would probably be helpful.

Anytime a Boxer has a lump, bump, sore, etc.....it needs to be seen by a vet. They are too prone to cancer to let something sit. On a different breed it might not hurt to wait but on a Boxer, having it looked at might just save it's life.

Hopefully it is nothing but with the other dog not wanting to leave it alone it might end up infected if it is just a benign "thing".

It may be nothing but since Mass Cell Tumors are so common in boxers all lumps should be checked by a vet. Some dogs do get acne so if it is acne you can use OTC acne meds on it BUT I’d find out what it is 1st.
