Spikes on a female?

I have a black spiked collar

That I used on Tomi from time to time. It is suppose to deter dogs from grabbing onto the neck when playing. I liked the look of it. Some people told me it made him look too mean though. Since he was already white and because so many people misjudged him as a pitbull;)

Hi!
I like the spike collars (I agree not when playing with other dogs tho!). I was going to get one for Vegas but decided on a red leather collar with skulls and cross bones :) For me, it definintely not about looking intimidating! I think it's funny, since he's such a big baby. Actually when he was a puppy, we had a mini-mini version of the same collar. It's all about "tongue in cheek" with us.

I wanted to get a spiked collar for Charlie Paper, but he tends to be such an idiot sometimes, that I know he'd probably hurt himself on it somehow. However he has the coolest collar in my opinion. I'm really into pirates, and my ex-boyfriend found this collar with pirate studs on it, so he bought it for Charlie. It's very cool, I'll try to take a picture of it, and post it so everyone can see my pirate dog! :)

I don't get the spiked look? Are you trying to make the dog look intimidating?
no I think it's cute. It does look intimidating, which for me being a single female and walking in the neighborhood I live in the collar helps a lot.

i think spike collars are cute - when Asia was smaller i thought about getting her a spiked collar, but just never got up to go get one.

for me, it's kinda like the irony of it. here are these adorably crazy, fun, loveable, human-like dogs, wearing a collar that is supposed to make them look 'mean'. which sometimes, i give it to 'em, i does, but then again because of their personalities, it can be really funny!

plus, the intimidating look really is helpful for being a single female or just for someone who wants to walk alone with their dog at night and feel completely comfortable about it.

The first thing my dh did when we knew we were getting a female puppy, was buy her a spiked collar. She hasn't grown into it yet, but I can't wait to see her in it. ~ Cathy

My wife has been insisting on getting a PINK collar for my Daisy girl to accentuate her feminine side. I told her that pink would be OK as long as it was "Cool" looking.

Therefore, my wife has been searching for a PINK, spiked or studded collar for my Daisy girl. Has anyone seen any such thing in their travels???
