Spikes on a female?

I was wondering if any of you with female dogs put spikes on them? Oscar has a spike collar and it's SO cute, my bf wants to put spike collar on Jasmine, and I don't mind if the collar is red or a different collar than black ( I want her to look like a girl)anyway, I guess my question is does it look cute either way?

I wouldn't put spikes on a girl, would make her look tough Hey, its a personal thing. I wouldn't put spikes on my males either though. Just me. I have a rottie too and I wouldn't want them to look any tougher than they are.

I don't think I'd put spikes on my boxer baby either...do you think it could be dangerous especially if you have 2 dogs? Can they hurt each other with the spiked collars if they are playing? I know at our dog park spiked collars are not allowed for that reason...a greyhound at the park cut his side cut open from a spiked collar. JMO and something to think about.

They don't wear their collars in the house and if I take them to the park they use they're regular collar. I like the look of it on Oscar, at least when he is in the car or if I am walking him and have to run into a cvs or something and leave him outside. I know I sound very paranoid but I think the spike would deter people from trying to dognap him. Thanks for the advice, though.

Bothof our boxer girls have spiked collars on. Even our little rat terrier puppy has a little Harley Davidson spiked collar on. They arent sharp enough to hurt the others and they do fine. They dont look very dainty or anything or cute if thats what your going for. But it works, I think mine are cute like that.

I had been thinking about getting Cisco a spiked collar! I think they are so cute. I had been woried though b/c I have a 1 1/2 yr old son and did not want him to get hurt, but I like the idea only using it for special occasions.
If you want it to look girly, just sew a bow on it!

i have a studded collar for scout and madie has a plain black buckle i don't think its dumb for a girl to wear spikes......
