Boxer Pal
Hi! I first became acqainted with this wonderful website when I lost my dear boxer (a brindle), Fanny, three years ago on the day before Christmas Eve. She was 13 years old. I was beside myself with grief. Almost every waking hour I would search the internet for anything boxer related and came across Boxerworld. That was my first intro to the Rainbow Bridge. On New Years Day, I was luck enough to find Dolly (my first fawn boxer). After being away from 'puppyland' for so long, I referred to Boxerworld's forums for practical information. I also gain some consolation from fellow members about my loss. Well, three years have gone by. Dolly is doing very well but unfortunately has a lot of problems with food and environmental allergies. This is a first for me. I've had 4 boxers since I was 10 years old (the first one adopted through the SPCA)---I'm 50 now, and have never had one with allergies. There's a lot of tedious work involved but I love her very much and wouldn't trade her for the world. She's the largest female I've ever had weighing in at 70 lbs. And, she's as gentle as anything with my 3 grandchildren. Who could ask for me?

Anyway, I haven't been in contact with the Boxerworld forum for over a year and when I came back for some information, I had forgotten both my password and username and I guess I was an unkown to Boxerworld. So, I re-registered.

I'm really happy to be back and would like to learn to post some photos as my computer skills have improved over the last 3 years! Wish me luck!

Welcome (back) to BW. Sorry that you had to lose Fanny, but very glad you brought Dolly into your life!! There is tons of stuff here on allergies, my Dakota had allergies to beef/chicken & turkey - it was quite a time home cooking for her - but she loved every morsal I made. I look forward to hearing all about her and seeing her pictures!
