Hello, My name is Stephie and I'm 32 years old. We just met the little boxer girl that we're taking home on saturday. She's a rescue from Kentucky, she's already had a litter of puppies and she's a small flashy brindle girl with the sweetest temperment!
I have 5 birds at home as well, so when we met the adoption agency at the pet store I made sure to bring her in front of the parakeets and see how she reacted. She didn't pay them any attention (which doesn't mean she'll ignore my 5 at home, but she wasn't lunging or interested in the birds at the store).
We hope to bring her home this upcoming Saturday, because her rescue is taking her to get spayed today.
Oh, and she's heartworm positive, but she's already gotten the shots and been on restricted movement afterwards. We'll be getting a copy of all her vet paperwork as well.
