Songs you sing to your dog.

I sing "You Are My Sunshine" to Sidda often, putting "please don't take my Sidda Bear away" in place of the ending. Me and my mom both sing "I am Henry the VIII, I am" to Henry. I think they like it even though I can't sing....

Okay I'm telling on my DH. He has been making up his own songs for our SkinKids for the last 14yrs. Well now you know my 14yr old son is kinda over dad being a goof so now he makes up songs about our 2 furkids. He sings to our female "MARIN - pronounced like Karen" a song about Marine Barkinbitch. He also sings about their meal time. There are two dogs sittin in the kitchen there are two dogs sittin in the kitchen, better get that food ready cause there are two dogs bitchen in the kitchen. etc. etc. Between him and the dogs the two kids and I are always laughing.

we sing the same song from The Apprentice, (but my hubby would say, uh, hello, it's from New Jack City) because hubby calls cassius "cash money" which is even more funny because there was a President's Day Sale car commercial and the song went, "We're talking Cash Money, we're talking cash"...

i sing made up songs all the time and sometimes, when i'm alone in the house with cassius, belt out Broadway show tunes....

My boyfriend and my guy friends sing "Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red dress" to Roxy, but I don't have one for Bailey yet.

We make up songs for both of them. Lola Folana, a showgirl from Bottswana.

When Benny was a puppy we had trouble getting him to eat unless DH would sit on the floor holding his dish and sing the Go Benny song.

When i sing to Telmar (usually some Harry Connick jr or Van Morrison) he whines and then barks at me to get me to stop~ Sasha on the hand likes to lean up against my neck if i sing quietly!

I know this thread is about a month old, but this week when I was singing to Buster I got to wondering if anybody else on BW sang to their boxer, so I did a search and found out I'm not the only crazy one.

When we are out walking and Buster is doing the "boxer trot" I sing "Bad, Bad Buster Brown, baddest dog in the whole *!@# town..." Alternatively I sing "Cute, cute Buster Brown, cutest dog in the whole *!@# town..." (The original was Bad Bad Leroy Brown for those of you who didn't grow up in the 70s.

I also sing "Smooshy face I love you..." to the tune of "Funny face I love you..."

Not sure what makes me so silly over this dog.
