Someone help me please

Hi, my name is Mike and im new to the forums, i have a pure bred boxer named lucky who is about 5 years old. Last night he had an incident where it looked as though he was dazed because he would stare blankly at the wall and then I was going to take him to the park and as we were going outside his legs collapsed and he wasnt able to get up because of his hind legs. He wasnt able to move them what so ever and i had to carry him in the house while my parents and i comforited him hoping that he would come out of it, his chest was pouding and his body was really tense and I dont know what this means or what happened to him. Maybe a slight heart attack? i dont know, but i did have another boxer that was about the same age who had seizures and i thought maybe that could be it too, but he was not convulsing or anything like that he just couldnt move his hind legs, please anyone help with some advice, thank you

I wish I had advice, but I have no knowledge regarding your situation. I hope Lucky feels better soon and wish I had more to offer.

It sounds like he may have possibly had a stroke, or even a quiet seizure or he may have a problem with his heart. If you haven't taken him to the vet yet I would say why not and get him there ASAP!

Could it be bloat? Get him to the vet!!!

I would think stroke or seizure... get him to the vet!!! They will do bloodwork and several physical tests that guage reactions to stimuli....do not play around with this....get him to the vet!! Your dog and you will be in my prayers........ to the vet immediately!!!

I had one die of Bloat. It does not sound like bloat.
