Jackson did the same thing. We came home from work (two days after having him neutered) and our brand new sofa was in the middle of the living room. He had made a huge whole in the cushion and there was stuffing everywhere.

I agree that your boxer has too much pent up energy. In the winter months we try to increase indoor playtime to keep Jackson as tuckered out as possible. Even teaching a few new tricks is good exercise. A tired boxer is a good boxer =)

I'm so sorry that they did it again. That must be so frustrating. I do think there is a direct correlation to less exercise due to colder weather...and we all know that our boxers need their exercise. (At least that's what I think Buster's reason is.)

Hopefully they'll be back to their normal selves by next spring, after their short stint in the crates again.

I think they need to go back into their crates, too. When I feel bad about crating by doggie, I just remind myself that he can eat/swallow foreign objects and get really sick (or worse) when he tears something up. My baby only got to a cheap futon, so the situation isn't as bad (or as expensive) as yours, but I recrated him nonetheless! Its for their own good!! :)
