Kronk is 7 months old now and has been house broken for some time. (Praise God!) However, every now and then when someone comes over to visit, he gets so excited, he pees, and usually on THEM!

SO embarassing!

Is this something he will likely outgrow as he matures? Please tell me YES!

My parents had a dog that did this. He did grow out of it other then one of the good family friends. He always got him.

Cortes used to do this, but only with my sister-in-law and occasionaly my monther-in-law; he did grow out of it. But also make sure that your visitors are calmly greeting the puppy and are not talking in a high voice and that should also help.

My Zeus who is a rott mix does this, he also does it when he is scared. He has only done this twice, once was in my aunt purse when she set it down to greet him. she did use high pitch lovey dovey voice. The scared pee he has done frequently. ...any ideas on how to prevent this?

Sadie has done this a few times but only when she hasn't gone to the bathroom in a while and then gets really excited, try letting him go out right before people come!

this is not about chloe but my cat stubby he doesnt like to be ignored well about 7 years ago we came home late and i was tired so i didnt greet him the way he wanted, i sat on the couch and he kept screaming to be pet and i was so tired i told him to go and sleep well he jumped up on the couch and sat on my lap and peed on me !! my husband was on the floor laughing so hard he was crying, my son was no help as all he could say was gross between laughs and i wanted to take my loving cat and throw him outside for the rest of his life.

I second the opinion that he will likely outgrow it.

I had a minature schnauzer that did this when he was a baby. To make sure his habit had the desired effect, he would even roll over on his back before he cut loose. It is funny now, anyway. :)

Beau will be 18 months tomorrow and he still does it to my brother EVERY time he comes over. My brother has just learned to make Beau sit so that the pee gets on the floor rather than on him!

We have Cooper who has a fear of some men. My DH mostly. He is a big man who comes across rough. Cooper in his past life had something happen that he freaks sometimes and will pee where he stands. If DH just looks at him funny. He is over a year old so I pray that this stops cause it really hurts DH feelings that his dog "don't like him". He so wants Cooper to love him but he is having a hard time getting over what ever it was that the past owner did to him. He is a great dog where my kids and I am concerned. So DH gets Jenna and I get Cooper.
