I'm glad you asked this when you did because I was going to ask the same question. Enlistment is up in January and moving from Florida back to NJ. My pup has only known Florida heat. Can't wait to see her with her first snow!

I love it when they stick their faces in it like they are searching for something and when they lift their head up it's covered in snow.

We are also taking Lego to the snow for the first time ever this winter. He's never seen it before and he even gets cold here when the temperature gets into the 40s, so I figure I would need a good warm coat for him. I found this:

So far he seems ok with it… now I'm just wondering if I need boots for him, I have heard mixed opinions on that.

In the meantime, I need to stop laughing anytime I put the coat on him. :)

Ok ... since this is about snow and cold... I guess I have to reply. :)

Here's my boy when it hit -58 ... hat, boots and all... http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc440/endlessamusement/2013/58belowweek13small.jpg

By the time the temp warmed up to a fairly consistant 10below or higher, he was was out there necked. He just LOVES the snow now.

I have not posted in the Rainbow bridge yet, we had to let our Struddel go on the 25th of last month. Today we had 5 inches of snow...Struddell loved the snow,
your picture brought a smile to my face, he has that same "Why me lord" look that I would get from Struddekk at Halloween!
Thank You!

I find boots cause more trouble than not in the snow because they clog up with snow globs. They are great for walking on roads and plowed areas though. I don't think you'll need them - but it wouldn't hurt to have a set for your sensitive girl just incase she just shivers and wont put her feet down.

And just for fun ... Kisaq out ice-fishing last winter...

Where did you get your doggie boots? Just need regular boots, no super cold winter stuff.

Trying to help someone and I remember trying a couple different ones, I found the "short" boots useless.

And even though Struddell weighted 65 lbs, her feet were tiny, what size did you get?

Thanks :)
