Smilies

Smilies are now accessed via the Smiley Face in the editor menu



Clicking on the face enabled the smilies via the dropdown at the bottom of the editor


To use a smiley, simply click the one you want to use:

So the ones that were available on the old version are no longer available, Like the angel wings, that I used all the time in the Rainbow Bridge Forum. :( :grumpy: You apparently can also no longer just type it in like this . It is much slower having to download all the smiley faces.:depressed:

Matt did the conversion of the forum and the galleries and also optimised the new dedicated server but he doesn't know what we used to have here, help section, rules etc and it is not his job too
I will upload the old smilies we had a bit later.
You can of course type the smilies yourself and don't have to download them all

I thought that when I initially typed in :( that it didn't work, But it does show up when you post.:confused:

It is much slower having to download all the smiley faces

The smilies in the new software are a single image using CSS locations, so you only download the spritesheet a single time, and then it should be cached by your browser.

I have noticed that the Smiles tend to load much faster.
