Basil is almost 13 weeks! WOW! - and I have her sleep with me on my bed. she starts at the foot of my bed, but in the early hours, she moves up by my head, and sometimes props her head on my neck or head and continues to sleep. I was wondering if any other pups did this, and if she will grow out of it? because she will start to get too heavy for me!

Punchie still sleeps with us, sometimes at the foot of the bed, sometimes right up there on the pillows with us. She still occassionally likes to plop her head on my neck, so I just gently move her back onto a pillow. Can't breathe otherwise.

Really, I just wanted to respond to your post to tell you how absolutely precious Basil is! Everytime I see your avatar, I just want to squeal, she is soooo cute!

I don't know about your little one, but my Winston is two and he still sleeps on the bed! He starts down at the bottom and also moves up during the night and early morning. Usually, he spreads out between me and dh with his front feet in my back and his back feet on dh!( or he tries to move me off "his" pillow) I have a king size bed, yet I never seem to have any room LOL!

Clio used to sleep with me a lot, then she got smart and moved to my parents bed (a lot bigger, plus during the winter it's a heated water bed) so i lose my Clio during the winter but gain a heater in the summer.

Bradlee slowly shifted to the foot of the bed. I think it is now too hot right up near our faces.

But I will share a funny story of last Friday morning- I took the day off from work. So after DH left I climbed back into bed, Bradlee right next to me. About 20 mins later she hoped off the bed, went got a toy, brought me the toy, dropped it by my face then dug at the covers. I finally lifted the covers up thinking "what the heck does this little girl want??" she crawled under the coves nuzzled my legs and went back to sleep an hour later we both got up. It was so sweet and cute. It was cold that morning since the heat broke we had all the windows open. I guess she was cold and needed to nuzzle but thought if she offered me a toy I would obide...

As long as you are happy to let her continue to sleep on your bed, there should be no problem, as long as she gets off when you tell her. It can be a hard habit to break, as she will get used to it very quickly. My 3 sleep on my bed, sometimes on the floor, it doesn't bother me but I am sure for those with a partner it must be a squash! Ruby always snuggles up to me in the early hours or gets right in under the duvet :)

Calla lets me sleep with her in "her" bed every night! She is 2 years old and sleeps with me and BF every night. She usually starts at the bottom and works her way up to the top also. She lays the same way we do with her head on the pillow--it is too cute!!

We have a king sized bed, but after the two boxers take their spots ( they now make sure to get to bed before me and DH ) Ken and I take our spots and the two cats take theirs....well I my as well be sleeping on half of a twin bed LOL! Somehow we all manage to be comfortable and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Brandi slept with us for a while along with our two Dachshunds but after a while it got too crowded...plus I have some claustrophobia issues and that made the crowded feeling worse...so we moved the three of them to a doggie bed at the foot of our bed where they snuggle very happily together every night...sleepicon

Bailey used to do this when he was little. But he has since been banished to the dog beds with the others (not happy about it either)! They all do get on the bed in the morning though after dh gets up - we still get to sleep another hour!!!
