My girls do the same thing. Bailey is usually my "scarf". She'll lay her head on my neck. Zoey usually is at the end of the bed or in between me and my bf. I love the girls sleeping with us but we definitely need a bigger bed!! It was cute when they were 10 lbs...but now they are 40 lbs and they take up a lot of room!! :)

Jake starts out sleeping in the bed but usually ends up in his cage...by his choice! he climbs down in the middle of the night b/c both my b/f and I move alot!!

Kilbane and Jack share the bed with us. We have a Cali. King and there are some nights when the only space I have is laying on my side. Most of the time they stay at the foot of the bed.

Both of mine have been in the bed with us since day one. Lately they have been starting out on the floor but always end up at the foot of our bed by morning. Dozer used to snuggle up by our pillows but has outgrown that and Diesel isn't really a cuddler. Even with 2 at the foot it is hard to keep the blankets where you want or move if you need to. :)

think ahead

Just reading this post makes me smile. Cindas' preferred position on our bed is either up on the pillows or under the covers tucked in behind my husbands knees. This doesn't happen often as she is an inside girl and moults continually. Every morning she joins us at six o'clock on the bed to hear the news and every morning she will try to get down under the covers. During the night she has her own bed (doggy) in her own room (usually reserved for grandsons) She is too big, too snorey, too heavy and wriggly to stay with us all night. And of course, when Zak was alive two on the bed was out of the question.
I would say though, don't start a habit you don't want to continue on with. Just as with children it's easier not to sart something than it is to try and break that habit later on. And not so confusing on the dog either. rulesicon

same here

Elwood has been doing the same thing since we brought him home. I would wake up in the middle of the night to a slobbery jowel on the face. He is just over five months now and we bought him a super nice pillow bed and he fell in love with that. I thought that i wanted more room in the bed now that he is getting bigger, but i find myself trying to coax him into the bed at four in the morning with no success. I didnt have to break him of sleeping in the bed i had to break myself of not letting him out of the bed. lol. I dont think i could take to many more super boxer stretch punches to the face in the middle of the night anymore anyway.

Tatum sleeps with us occasionally but last night he decided that sleeping on my chest/head was the most comfortable place to sleep. He woke me up at 2:30 snoring on my head. I tried to move him but it wasn't happening! Once he's esleep he's dead to the world.

Charlie Paper does that too. He'll start on the floor now that it's really warm at night, and by morning he's stretched out next to me sometimes with his head on my shoulder. Its quite cute.

Both of mine are like glue when I get home from work. This means that they fall asleep on the couches or floor, while I work on my PC or watch TV in the evening. I then go to bed and they are usually still asleep. I tell them it's bedtime, but they are pretty dead to the world at that point.

Sometime during the night, they get on the bed and snuggle towards the end of the bed. By the time the morning sun starts to rise, my baby boy Cooper is in the crook of my arm (I sleep on my back frequently) with his warm muzzle right in my neck and he is sound asleep. He is such a snuggle bug!! Angel stays towards the foot of the bed, until Cooper gets up and begins his morning "wake mom up routine" and then she takes his place!

My two sleep with us in our king size bed. I only get a limited amount of space also.
BJ & Rocky love to sleep under the covers, which I don't mind because then they aren't laying on them and stealing them off of me. BJ sleeps on the foot of the bed crossways and Rocky sleeps covered up with his head sticking out laying his head on my pillow.
It's just too cute!
