I wouldn't have it any other way!! But like everyone else said, they get bigger and they love to stretch out and be comfortable!

Once Jake was potty trained he slept in our bed and even though he's a bed hog and dead weight to move, it would break his heart if we ever kicked him out. I wouldn't have it any other way at this point and even though my DH sometimes complains to me, I hear him babying the dog when I'm not in the room! Jake does have a bed - he smelled it and never went near it again!

Hey everyone! Artie is doing great in the crate. Goes to the bathroom outside (still a few accidents in the house). He's a wonderful dog.

My wife and I would like him to sleep with us in our bed sometimes. Is it ok to have your 15 week old puppy cuddle with you? I did it last night and he did great! I just want to make sure I'm not messing anything up for his behavior in the future and would like to know if we should wait until he's older. Look forward to hearing from you.

My only concern especially at such a young age is that he doesn't get suffocated between you two. I still worry about Kona at 10 months burying herself under the blankets or between us on top of the quilt..

Just enjoy them sleeping with you. Phoenix sleeps with me when my husband is away. But he would never let her when he is home. So if you two agree and he sleeps in crate when you are away or need him to, then enjoy. I love when she cuddles and she starts snoring immediately!

I agree, just remember that they get bigger. Sometimes means all the time with boxers!!
Kody has his own bed, beside me in the floor. He starts out in bed w/me until daddy comes to bed and he gets kicked out! Then once daddy leaves for work in the morning he climbs back up with me. I will hate getting up this winter, I will have my personal electric blanket sleeping on top of me every morning!!
I think that the pup will be fine with you though. I loved cuddling up with kody when he was small and he smelled so good and had that fat pink belly!! I miss those days, enjoy them!

They are the biggest bed hogs ever so watch out It is nice to have them sleep with you every once in a while.

Guinness sleeps in my bed, often with all four legs STRAIGHT OUT - and he's nearly 26" at the withers - so over two feet of space, just for his legs. And I wouldn't have it any other way. When I end up perched a bit too close to the "precipice" and am in grave danger of plunging off onto the floor, I just gently slide him over or maneuver his legs a bit to free up some room. I'm budgeting for a bigger bed when this mattress goes away though. :D

Jake sleeps with us every night and has since we got him at six weeks old he is now 4 yr.
Except last summer when the grandkids where here for 2 weeks Jake slept with them he kept going in the room looking for them & geting up on the bed for a couple of days after they went home.
