Yay King!!

I called the vet today and King is officially flown the coop!! Yvette picked him up today and he is all vetted and ready for a soft bed, some good groceries and plenty of lovin'.

To all my wonderful fellow boxer lovers, for the past 5 years I have had the unequalled pleasure and honor of owning the sweetest, funniest, kindest dogs who constantly amazes me with their character, heart and spirit. They have honestly taught me to be a kinder person. I honor them and their contribution to the fullness of our lives by giving a helping hand to another boxer who hasn't had the opportunity to be as loved and cherished as my Angus & Kaiser have... I challenge all those who feel as passionately about this wonderful breed and their own special babies, sponsor a needy boxer in rescue, have a fund raising dinner for your local rescue, make blankets for shelter dogs, or give your time, love and home to a foster as a birthday present to your boxer. Everything counts when you have nothing.

These rescues are always in desperate need and I think it would take so little if everyone would give their boxer a boxer for a birthday gift. Thank you Nickleby (King), knowing you will be loved and safe is the best "present" of all.

What a great Experience this has been.I'm so happy it all worked out.

I have King home. I just picked him up this morning. He rode nice and quietly in my van with my male Hummer. No issues what so ever between them. My old girl Hershey came out to the van to meet him when we got home. Jumped right on in there to have a good sniff and say hello to King. They had a little run around the back yard and all went well, till we came inside Hershey didn't seem to like him in HER kitchen and jumped him....Not sure why. I quickly broke that up and he scurried outside..I'm going to put Hershey out with him a little later and see how they get along. I think it just got to crowed in the kitchen for Hershey.. And after all she's already sharing her Mommy with Hummer..he's only been with us a few weeks himself ..so I think Hershey may be having some sharing mom issues she needs to work out... All in all I think he'll do fine here for the short term till he comes home to you his forever Mommy.

Well they all went in the backyard again, Poor King is very leery of another run in with Hershey. and pretty much steered clear of her. So for the time being I'm going to let him have a much needed rest away from the others in a quiet part of the house. I took allot of photos of him I hope I don't crash your PC. The pictures are King in the basement den that will be his space for now till we establish our pack order!!??..Hummer is dying to get down there to see him.
He's such a sweat heart. Its hard to see how skinny he is in the pictures. I guess the camera really does put 10 lbs on you ..even the poor animals.. He's only 50-52 lbs my Hummer is 83 lbs and Hershey is 90 lbs.. so poor little King looks like a little doe.

I'm so glad to see your excited about getting him. When the time comes to get him to you I will meet Leezah somewhere and she'll bring him to you. I'm hoping I can put some weight on him b4 he gets to you..

Well now im just trying to get my money in order to get a ticket home sooner(more expensive). I cant wait to meet him and to thank Leezah and Yevette my self. I find my self looking at his pictures every chance I get and that makes me want to get home that much sooner.

One of our boys is the most gentle and sweet boy in the world and I am sure he would love to hang out with your new addition. The other is more of a terror but is still a hoot...
