Harla doesn't have a whole lot of nicknames...too confusing being she's a new baby here. But I do call her Harla Harla Girly Girl (sounds kinda like nanny nanny boo boo). I sing it to her most of the time.
I ususally cut Riley short to Rye or Rye boy and when he is drooling he is called Slimmer I have two other dogs not Boxers so he used to get called Baby Boy cause he is the youngest and the only boy.. but because all of his Lumps I sometimes call him Lumpy.. that name reminds me of the guy on the Leave it to Beaver show.. I watched this when I was a little kid and reruns at that <G> so I might be climbing up that hill but I haven't reached the top of it yet
We also have a Dalmation named Katie 8 years old and is a real gump who has two different colored eyes one blue one brown.. and we have a little mixed breed part Austrailan Shep( her mom) and Neighborhood Casanova her Dad) she is a redish brown in color her name came from a color in the crayon box called Burnt Sienna.. So Siennna became her name and way before Toyota used it for their MiniVans. Sienna is 6 years old and her and Riley play and love to chase each other in the house around and around the stairs or around the shed in the back yard grumpy Katie just growls at him...
When the song Who lets the dogs out came out.. this was my theme song for sure

Riley was my daughters dog.. she bought him.. But guess who ended up taking care of him.. So he kind of turned into my dog even though he seems to love everyone in the house.. he just follows me wherever I go including the bathroom.. :O) We also had a dog named D-O-G when my kids were little and they used to call her Ogie (Oh G) one of the other dogs we owned was named McGyver after the Tv Show.. I liked that name but my duaghter was set on Riley..
I can honestly say out of the many dogs that we've owned Our Boxer is the best in personality and he is just such a character.. The only down fall is the many health issues we've had.. but in all honesty I wouldn't change a moment of the Love and laughter that he has brought into our lives..
