Yep, I'm new here.. and although this is really an account set up by my boyfriend, since he's not really using it, I am! :p And my name is Monica.

My boyfriend and I have two Boxers, Boomer - a flashy fawn, about 3 years old; and Takeo - a white 5 month old Boxer (you can see pics of him in "Show Off Your Dog".

I also have a cat, that the puppy loves to play with, and 2 gerbils that the cat loves to try to play with. ! :D

Welcome to BW people here are great, a wealth of knowledge.

You may as well use the board if he's not using it, its fun.

I also have a 3 1/2 months old white boxer, couple of black spots and blue eyes, actually one blue eye and one black and blue eye. his picture is there too just use search.

I agree if he isn't using the forums you may as well. Be warned though, in my experience, once he sees you actually enjoying the forums, guaranteed he will want to start being a part of it. You can however both have a separate user name etc. should that happen.
I do hope you enjoy it here. There is a wealth of information on here, and thousands of great people that offer good advice when you ask.
Feel free to use the search engine to find previous posts on any topic you may want information on. If the answer isn't there, then by all means ask. I have been on here for over a year now, and each day is a learning experience. Someone always has a great tidbit of info.
I will be looking forward to your posts, and reading about how the dog chased the pup, who chased the cat, who chased the gerbils.

Welcome to Boxer World! I am new here too, and it has been alot of fun and people are real friendly and helpful! You have your hands full with your 2 boxer kids, I know! The most we have had together at one time was 3 - our oldest was 13 years old at the time, the middle one was 6 and then the baby! It was wall to wall boxers - I loved it but my husband thinks just one or two is more manageable - old party-pooper! Both our girls passed away within nine months of each other - we were totally devastated, it leaves such an empty spot in your heart! Take care and hope to hear more from you!

Seems like most animals can't keep away from the gerbils. We used to have a cat that constantly tormented my son's gerbil. My boxer Judge is absoluetly amazed by it as well. We have to keep his gerbil put up in another room, and any chance that Judge gets, he gets into that room to just stare at the gerbil.

I put one of the gerbils in an exercise ball last night, took it into the living room and set it on the floor. Takeo was just completely enthralled by the thing, ! He thought it was a new toy for him.

LOL My wife put the gerbil in one of those exercise balls when we first on Judge's first day with us. That was a mistake! The gerbil got a minute or so of some serious exercise. Judge was going crazy after it and kicking it around the house. I'm pretty sure the gerbil got dizzy. So now we don't put the gerbil in the ball on the floor anymore. We only use the little brace that it came with, it's much safer for the little guy.
