Oh my god that is sooo sad. If I was you I would call your local SPCA or Human society and tell them exactly what the lady looks like and what time she would be there and send them this picture. The dog is clearly WAY under weight. I'm not health expert but I know that's way to skinny.

I just clicked on this thread and read it all the way through! I went from saddened and shocked to elated and joyful for what you did for that poor baby! I hope Bailey is adopted into a wonderful loving home. I'd take him!

I'm trilled you stepped in when it is apparent that no one else did. It takes a strong person to be persistant especially when it involves someones baby being taken away from them. Kudos to you!

You are very brave and I thank you for having the courage to help that poor baby. I saw the pictures and was shocked. I will never complain that my baby Oscar looks too skinny again. I hope that baby has a great life now and gets spoiled rotten!

" They approached her and said they had recieved complaints about the dog, asked why he was so thin, told her it was NOT acceptable for him to look like that and she stated to them she refused to "let him be fat and ugly". "

It takes all kinds doesn't it. To think that she thought nothing of the condition of her dog. I am so glad that your animal control dept. was ready and willing to help. Some local ones here could care less when you call.

What you did was a great thing and it warms my heart that this dog is now safe. Keep us updated and if possible send pictures.

I've been following this and am very happy to see how it went. I just wanted to say thank you for what you did. You see, my J.C. is a rescue. I don't know much about his background other than he was a neglect case and was taken from his previous owners along with another dog. I don't know how bad it was, but I can easily imagine him looking as thin as the dog in those pictures. Someone like you had the courage to speak up and report it so that those two dogs could have a new life. If not for someone like you, J.C. probably would have died and I would never had the opportunity to know him. Bless you and all those like you, who speak for those who can't.

OKay, a little late since the last update, but I'm so glad it worked out for Bailey. But I am disappointed that he wont be going home with YOU so we could always have updates.

Hopefully she doesnt go running out and getting another dog now.

Betcha she was fat and ugly. Too bad Bailey couldnt turn around, do the same to her.
