A little bit of an update.
I was out there today, and I took my Boxer because the weather was beautiful. I was standing rindside and the lady actually approached me and started talking to me about Lucy. Lucy is 8 months old, she is a little ribby and has bony little hips, and the woman actually said she looked FAT.

I slyly said if she thought Lucy was fat she should've seen the Boxer/Lab mix I had that was put down due to cancer. I waited for her to say something about her dog having a medical condition, because she said to me "You were petting my dog yesterday right?" so she knew I had seen him but she didn't. Then she says (I kid you not) "I like to keep my dog a little lean so his joints dont get stressed out. He was fat like yours as a puppy". I wanted to go off on her, but I didn't want to clue her in on the fact I was going to have animal control come try and seize the dog from her later this week, so I forced myself to nod and then said I had to go get lunch and walked off before she could see how red my face had gotten from wanting to deck her.
I talked to someone who boards with her and the dog has been with her since it was a puppy and continually started to look worse, apparently it goes to the barn all the time when the weather is nice and the other riders feed it when she isnt looking. She had no clue how it got all the scars and cuts all over it because the woman has been keeping it at home, inside, because it's too cold at the barn.
To whoever also takes their Boxer out to the horse farm, I take mine too and she runs for hours and she's a bit skinny but nothing like the poor boy in the photos I took.
I'm calling animal control out the instant I see her with the dog this week or weekend. If they take him from her, he'll probably be coming home with me, unless she somehow tries to get him back.
