Thank goodness we're not the only owners of a biter, this is the first pup we've owned who is a terrible biter. She gets overtired and we can't get her to sleep enough during the day.Nightime is a 12 hour stretch,no problem there, but in the daytime, she just "forgets"to sleep and if she ever does lie down, she wakes at the least sound and is overactive. She's 5 months old now,and when she gets overtired, she runs at you and bites.I've tried the water spray bottle but she loves it ,and drinks the water??????
I've ignored her,put my hands behind my back then she bites my toes and that really hurts. How can we get her to rest enough,as sleep is an essential for a growing pup. We know how tired she is just by looking at her red droopy eyes. We're at our wits end as she's our fourth boxer, but she's also our first bitch. She's very dominent too,and all the dogs lie down and give themselves over to her when they see her approach. Is this normal for a bitch at this age and will she grow out of it? HELP please.
