shedding

I was wondering if its common for boxers to shed as much as Kimbo does. I thought it was maybe a temperature change, since I moved from Miami to Atlanta, but it seems to be the same. I have spoken to some people that say their boxer never sheds, and some say they do as puppies but it gets better. Does it get better?

I think in depends on the dog. Thor sheds a lot, but Arabella doesn't. The only time Star would shed a lot was when her allergies would bother her mostly in the fall. She didn't get any new hair growth replacing the shed hair. As long as there is new hair growth I don't think I'd be concerned.

Sarg was shedding alot one day and i asked around and they told me to give him fish oil. So I bought it and the shedding stopped. his coat looks great!

Jay is 6 months and sheds pretty good and my sisters old boxer shed if my memory is correct....

I use a Furminator comb on Chance

an always in awe over the amount of hair that comes off her with it.

Umma sheds alot. I am always astonished what a great looking coat she has, although she constantly sheds that much hair. I also give her fish oil now but haven't seen any difference in her shedding.

Cody sheds a little, not a huge amount....very livable. Aniah sheds like crazy. I sweep the floors every other day and come up with a dust pan full of dog fur ever since she came home.

my youngest (8 months) sheds quite a bit. when he gets out of the car there is tons of hair on the seat. diesel, however, never really shed much at all. we always find the fawn hairs, never the brindle ones. =) i think it depends on the dog.

Beau sheds like crazy. There is hair in the bottom of his crate every day not to mention my couch, floors, etc. I try to use the Zoom Groom on him pretty frequently which does seem to help and he thinks he's getting a great massage

I never heard of the Zoom Groom, but after checking it out on line, I think I'm going to have to get one. I used to use the Love Glove on Thor and he loved it. Star couldn't stand it. It made her itch. I just don't know where it wandered off to.
