I have an almost 1yr old flashy fawn named Dakota. She is the softest, fluffiest boxer I have ever seen. Her fur is longer than most boxers I've seen also, especially by her neck and hind legs/butt area. I could tell she lost her puppy coat a long time ago, but now she just sheds continuously. The seasons haven't made a difference, it's been the same amount for awhile now. I brush her w/a metal tooth brush which she loves, but it doesn't do much help. Does anyone else have a fluffy boxer that sheds a lot??? Any suggestions? Thanks!!

I know my Chancey sheds more when she gets excited. Nutrition plays a large role in the coat also....whatcha' feeding?

Try using one of those rubber mitt type brushes with the nubby side. I think they sell them at Target for like $5. I use one on Dozer who continuously sheds no matter what I do, or feed him. I'm simply amazed at how much hair it takes out! Also it's that time of year so expect a little more shedding than normal. :)

You also might want to start adding some Salmon & Fish Oil to her diet. My girl sheds next to nothing. I give 1000mg/day :)

Thanks for the advice. The Zoom Groom is great! She liked the metal comb also, but this one seems more gentle and it gets more hair out. Thanks guys!

I just wanted to add that the Zoom Groom is great! We brush Lucy with it and then let her run around and play with it b/c she thinks it's some type of Kong.
