I am sooo sorry! What a tragic thing to have happened. I had a puppy choke several years ago and I didn't know what to do and it died as I tried to save it. It broke my heart. I hope you don't blame yourselves as you did all you could. God Bless you both!

OMG, I'm so sorry for your loss. What a horrible ordeal to go through...I had something similar happen, although I could get the chew out. I had always heard no rawhide, but I didn't know not to give pig's ears, either. Cadence had choked on a pig's ear, but I gave her the Heimlich and it came out, thank God. I didn't even really know how to give a dog the Heimlich, I just improvised. I have since looked it up, though, b/c it scared the life out of me. All I can offer you is my deepest condolences and prayers. Know that your girl is safe now...you did all that you could for her and she knows that. I hope that in time, your memories will only be of her wonderful life with you, not of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife.
