Bless you for reaching out and saving this poor little girl...I hope the vet recommends a spay certificate in this case to give you time to get her stronger first. Is there a way you can call or get a written request in the file before the shelter's vet sees her, so they can understand that she is going to be well cared for and how much better it would be for her to give her a break for now?

I have tears flowing from my eyes as I read this. I can not believe what people do to animals. I too would think that she should have gained some weight before the spay. I will say a special prayer for her surgery tomorrow. As for a name: Faith, Hope ,and Love. I Cor.13 ( the love chapter from the bible )says, that Faith, Hope , and Love, and of these three the greatest is love. Love would be a great name. Boxer love is the greatest.Please let us know how she does tomorrow.

Kudos to you and Josh for adopting that sweet little baby! appicon...How horrible that people do things like this to animals. But there are many wonderful people like you...you are truly her angel! I, too , am a little worried about them doing a spay on her...since she's so tiny. Hopefully everything will be ok. What about Noel? She is an early Xmas present?Please keep us posted.

I want to give you a big hug for saving this little girl! It breaks my heart to hear of the conditions some dogs have to deal with in their lives. My eyes filled up as I read your post and then a smile broke out on my face when I read that you were able to take her home. Bless your heart! Please keep us updated on this little girl. I'll be thinking about her, especially on her spaying. 17 lbs! I'm in shock that a 2 year old could weigh this little. I'm glad that she is about to receive all the love she deserves. Thanks again for doing your part to make this world a little better.
