MAGGIEMOM

Boxer Booster
Yesterday my hubby called me at work, he had put the dpgs out for a few minutes and he was in another part of the yard. He saw Maggie staggering and stumbling around then just drop. by the time he got to her she was totally limp, no stiffness just unresponsive and limp. He said her heart was beating but she was not breathing and he grabbed her and ran. By the time he got in the house she was breathing but her gums/lips were grey/blue. He rushed her to the vet...his luck they had closed so he had to take her 20 miles to an emergency vet. By the time they got to him she had come around and other than tired seemed normal. she had not been exercising hard and nothing was new in her routine to trigger this. She is only 10 months old.
Needless to say i left work early yesterday to go home and hold her. I can't take off any more this week so it will be monday before i can take her to our vet for tests. Any thoughts or ideas on what this might be.

You will definantly want to have her checked for cardiomyopathy. Have your vet give you a referral to a board certified cardiologist. (((HUGS))) We will keep you both in our prayers. Please keep us posted.

My thoughht and parayers are with you and your family. Keep positive, I hope this turns out to be a one time thing.

You are definitely in my thoughts and I second the recommendation of a Cardiologist. This sounds similar to symptoms of BCM and only a cardiologist can tell you for sure.

Kisses to Maggie :)

I am so sorry you are going through this. Jake was about that age when he started having spells that sound similar to what you have discribed. It turned out to be pulmonic stenosis. Did a vet detect any evidence of a heart murmer? Jake ended up having heart surgery at 18 months. We lost him to cancer at 23 months old, but his heart was good following surgery. I wish you lots of luck. It's a scary thing to go through.
