Poor Hummer!!! I'm glad to hear he's ok though. Luckly I've never had any bad experiences with collars in the house, or any other time. Charlie Paper only gets his collar off when he's playing with friends. I can't imagine how you felt. Give Hummer hugs from us.

Poor Hummer. That must have been so horrible. There was a story just like this not too long ago and once I read it, my babies don't wear collars in the house with us anymore.

So glad to hear Hummer is doing OK and hope you are feeling better too!!!

Poor Hummer! I never really thought about a dishwasher accident, Samson loves licking the dishes and it is really gross! I don't know if he likes the food or the soap better. He's actually kind of sick today because he licked and drank too much bubble bath water out of my son's bath last night. I should have known what he was doing in there!
Ritzy, that's great about the fork, Samson made the funniest mess all over his face a few nights ago trying to lick cool whip off a spoon.
Thanks for the heads up about collar dangers inside!

Really who would ever had thought a dish washer could pose a danger.

Hummer sounds a lot like your Samson. I have to chase him away from the kids bath water. Doesn't matter to him if there's bubbles or not he'll drink it. He will even stand there and lick the shampoo off their heads if they let him
nonoicon (they don't)...He looks like a mad dog foam dripping from his jowels. Gross! more wet slopper to clean up.

Poor Hummer!! I would have completely freaked out! We had a similar situation happen...luckily not with such a volitile target: Gus once got his collar stuck on the shower door when he was trying to bite the water running out of the faucet. Luckily the door to the bathroom was shut, he freaked out but was able to free himself pretty quickly. This is what ultimately convinced us that collars inside are a bad thing and he hasn't worn one inside since. I can't imagine if that had happened with the dishwasher (which easily could have since Gus has a taste for dirty dishes)!

Poor Hummer!
I've been able to teach Luka to stay out of the kitchen. The kitchen floor meets the carpet and he doesn't come passed that. It's been alot of work- but totally worth it!
