OH that IS scary. Joey likes to try to sniff/lick the dirty dishes and I won't allow it either. I never thought about him getting hung on the rack though.
We had a bad collar experience also. One day, Joey was laying in his crate while I was doing something in the kitchen. Somehow, he got his collar hung on the inside of his crate, where the door to the crate attaches. He started thrashing around inside and moved the crate all the way across the room before I could get to him and unhook him. Since then, I have made sure his collar is snugger so it can't happen again. As someone else mentioned, Joey is too rowdy to leave without a collar on. We have to be able to control him and without it, there is no way.
