Having had boxers for years, I know that they are prone to snoring. Last night however, Harvey (6 months) was practically shaking the walls with his snores. It kept me awake for a bit and then I went to his crate and woke him. He stood up, repositioned and went right back to sleep. Luckily he stopped snoring long enough for me to get to sleep this time. I've never had a boxer snore THAT loudly. Is this normal? I mean, at this volume? LOL.

My 8 month old snores extremely loudly, it depends on how she is lying down sometimes though she snores so loudly you can hear her on the first floor from the third floor. When she gets super loud we wake her up so she changes positions and the snoring stops....for a bit! I am pretty sure it is normal both my boxers snore(d).

Caney Creek

Boxer Insane
I think that it is much worse when they're growing. I remember Caney snoring SO loud when she was young. She still snores now but it's not near as bad as it was when she was a puppy.

It also has to do with their sleeping position. When Caney is curled up she doesn't snore; she only snores when stretched out. So generally, it's worse in the summertime when it's warm wackicon

My staffy snored very loud, but she was built like a sausage and I think it was more sleep apnea than anything. LOL She would crawl under my pillow and snore right under my head. Lily does snore, but very lightly. I wish she was louder, I happen to love snoring dogs. Comforting to me for some reason.

I would probably get a great night's sleep with your Harvey curled up beside me!

Frankie snores even with her eyes open! Usually i think its cute but when she combines it with running in her sleep(while in my bed) it kinda hurts!

Riley also snores even when he is awake just relaxing! And at night...don't even get me started...I don't know what's harder to sleep through, the snoring or the gas! I think that the way he is positioned to sleep has a big effect on his snoring..when he's stretched out or has his head hanging over the edge of his bed he snores pretty bad!

Clavin

Boxer Booster
My last Boxer snored like a sailor. There were times I actually had to move to another bedroom in the house. He made snoring sounds that have probably never been recorded in the history of man or canine. At times it got so loud he would wake himself up only to go back to sleep and start it all over again.

So far I have been very lucky with Clavin. Keeping my fingers crossed.

My boxer Duke has always snored, but he actually snores way louder if he is having a puppy dream. When is just regularly asleep he will snore but not very loudly. But when he is having a puppy dream. The snore volume goes way up and wakes me and my fiance up. So I say that your snoring problem is pretty common. Who knows your boxer maybe having some pretty awesome puppy dreams.

Oh My, I can relate to the snoring! Ollie is 3 months and I swear snores louder then any human I have ever heard! It's especially nice when he is snoring right in my ear! I have heard that it is because their esophagus is still developing? Not sure how correct that is but I know the snoring is pretty normal in my house!

Snoring

Haha! My 5 year old boxer has always snored, so we are used to it, but my husband and I lay in bed laughing last night at how loud our 3 month old boxer was snoring. She sounded like a baby pig!
