Sarge was killed today

Its not even been a month ago that I was talking about getting Sarge, who was abandoned and we saved him at only about 7 weeks. I regret to say that he must have escaped the house and we found him dead today beside the garbage bin. He had a little blood coming out of his mouth and nose but he was covered in blood on the side he fell on. I only knew him for not even a month and now hes gone. I have been in tears since I got home b/c I hate to think that hes GONE and I can NEVER hold him again. I cant see what hes going to grow up to be now. I can plainly remember holding him for several hours the night he came to us. He was fine this morning, I'm guessing he was hit or something. I have never had a dog die on me, he is my first. I really need hugs and prayers.

Sending some feel better vibes. It is hard but eventually you will think happy thoughts. Sorry to hear your baby is gone but know that you rescued him, made him happy and showed him love, he will forever be greatful for that.

Little feet and a short amount of time can leave HUGE pawprints on your heart. I think it would be abnormal if you didn't feel so much pain.

I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words to describe the loss of your precious sarge. Our first boxer Roxy was killed by a car 3 days before Christmas. The time you had with Sarge is what really counts and you gave him lots of love in a short time and that means alot.
