sad news for lily

We recieved the unthinkable yasterday, my girl Lily (6) was diagnosed w/ dilated cardiomyopithy...we are devastated..she seems so full of life. We brought her to Tufts vet. up here in Ma. and that is where the sad news came. she is a rescued baby and we've had her 2.5 years. check out her pic she's beautiful... anyone who's been through this .. advice would help..

I am sorry for Lily's diagnosis. Is dialated cardiomyopothy different then cardiomyopothy? My rescue Buster has cardiomyopothy and has been doing quite well on his medication. He has only had two episodes that I am aware of since he started about 2 months ago. Of course now he also has conjestive heart failure that he is taking medicine for also.

Lily is beautiful, I am sorry to hear that she has been diagnosed with cardiomyopithy I don't have any experience with cardiomyopithy so I can't offer you an advise but I am sure there are others on here who can give you some input as cardiomyopithy is a common health problem in boxers.

What did the vet say with regards to treatment etc
