I just saw this on Yahoo and I had to share. The story just touched my heart, and brought up how I felt when I was told Thor was on borrowed time. Romeo's mom made a buck list for him after he was diagnosed with bone cancer. lovicon I especially like the breakfast in bed part, too cute!

I also read this and just loved it. We did a lot off extras for a Joey once he was diagnosed with lymphoma, I wish I was this creative.

Love this! Especially love the candlelight steak dinner in the park! My take-away from this is to start doing all the fun things now & repeat as often as possible.

I love this...made me think of my sweet Ponza and all the love we lavished on him in his last weeks. Wish I would have thought of doing things like this, though. great memories!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the last healthy days of your beloved dog's life .... leaving some very special memories of what would otherwise be such a painful time.

My take-away from this is to start doing all the fun things now & repeat as often as possible.

I agree. We always think we have time and put things off. It is better to take the time now while they are healthy enough to enjoy themselves.

When we first found out our precious Sandy had cancer, we wanted to keep her as happy as possible... since she LOVED to eat... I cooked for her... anything she wanted... for one solid week, she ate bacon and eggs...then one week she wanted fish, each week was different.
My entire family was so heartbroken that we just wanted her to be happy as long as she could be.

Allowing her to go to the bridge was still one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in my life and I still miss her terribly..
