The new year is not turning out so bad...
Eddie my husband was very upset at this guy. Coco is a kitten still and could not have scratched as she wears soft paws rubber nail covers. After this guy left all the others agreed he is not too bright. Side note, there is a cat that has been hanging out at their lot for at least 12 yrs (my husband is a finance manager for a large car lot) and she is very old. All the guys pitch in for her food and vet care. Well this guy did have an incident with Miss Pussy (sorry for the name, a bunch of guys in a car lot, go figure) and she scratched the heck out his arm. No one is sure what happened, but he did "joke" around and say he should have kicked that cat and another guy told him that is just stupid, she is only a cat.
He called to apologize and today he gave a bag of smoked pig ears and a cat toy for his behavior to my husband at work. My husband said IF this guy asked he would pay 1/2 the bill, but only if he asked...he has not mentioned it. The ER was told it was a dog bite and we recieved a call asking if the dog was up to date on shots. My vet faxed over a copy of Rocky's shot record and all is well on that end. I don't think there is any follow thru, just insuring the dog does not have rabies. It looks like this guy is just mainly embarrassed because the owner of the lot, all the managers were at my house and he is hopeful for a promotion. The owner by the way is a HUGE cat lover and does not really care for dogs, but said any dog that would protect a cat like that is OK in his book. He actually let Rocky lick his face! He was not impressed (he was the guy holding Coco after the incident). Eddie did say this guys hand looked gross, very bruised (he was chuckling when he said it). I will keep you guys posted if anything else happens.
I just knew you guys would agree that Rocky is a hero!
By the way these poker games have been happening for many years and I have never had an incident with my pets and our guest before.
