Hello everyone. I haven't visited here in a very long time, but felt compelled to return and post our sad news. My beautiful senior girl, Xena, has made her journey to the Bridge (Friday, December 12, 2008). Sadly and with a heavy heart, I helped her along on her journey yesterday. Xena succumbed to the cancer that had taken over her body. She turned 12 on Nov. 17.
Waking up this morning without our beautiful girl here has made our (my daughter and I) hearts feel close to empty. She was a huge part of our life. This is what compelled me to return to BW and find strength from old friends, and new, who I know will understand our sorrow.
RIP Xena girl. We will find comfort in knowing that you can play free of pain now and run by your sisters side once again. We love you so much and one day, we will meet again. angelicon

I'm so sorry. I feel your pain having just helped Austin to the bridge five weeks and one day ago. It's a pain and emptiness you can't describe. I'm sure Aus was there to greet her and bring her to all of her new friends there. RIP, sweet Xena.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your dear girl Xena. She did live a long life and was well loved, but I know it hurts so much. I helped Petey to the Bridge nearly 4 months ago, and it still hurts. They are just such a huge part of our lives, the best part really.

Godspeed sweet Xena.

Sharon, I am so sorry to hear about Xena. She had a long, happy life. I was just thinking about you the other day, wondering what happened to you. I will keep you and your daughter in my thoughts and prayers.

Run free at the bridge, sweet silver girl.

I'm so very sorry to hear your sad sad news. My heart goes out to you. We helped our beloved Sophie to the bridge at the end of July - I know that horrible lonely empty feeling well.............

Run free at the bridge Xena.

I am so very, very sorry to hear the sad news about your losing your Beloved Xena. :( My heart aches for you and your daughter, knowing the emptiness you are both feeling now, not having your beautiful silver girl beside you. There are truly no words to describe the depth of grief when one has lost such a precious soul. I keep you both in my prayers. I look at the pictures you have posted in your gallery of your sweet girl and her beautiful smiling face. I am so sorry. (((HUGS)))
