I have been reading these posts for more than nine years. I just lost my 9 1/2 year old Max this last Monday and it was the worst experience my family has ever had to deal with. He had a stroke and heart attack in our kitchen and we had to experience the devistation. Everyone says with each day it gets better but it doesn't, everything around our house reminds us of him and we are so sad. He was our lover and house protector.

Hi and welcome,
I am so sorry for your loss it is a tough time for you and your family, yes I am sure with time things will get better but it has only been a few days and your feelings are still very raw and his passing was very sudden you had no time to prepare but in time your treas will turn to smiles when you remember all the great times you have had with Max.

I'm sorry for your loss, and things will get easier as time goes by, I've been there. Every sound you hear you think of your precious one. Sounds that make you think you hear them whining or wanting to go outside,or the clicking of their tonails on the floor, but those are all ~GOOD~ memories that you want to hold deep in your heart. We lost our Rebel two years ago to cancer and it took us that long to get another boxer. Toby doesn't replace Rebel by no means but he does show us that our hearts can be mended. Joanna

Thank You

So much for your well wishes. It has been really hard these past few days, waking up and not seeing him, the door bell ringing and no bark, coming home and him not at the door to greet you. We had him cremated and I just can't wait for him to come home next week. We did get a flashy fawn puppy a year ago and I really feel that Max is with all of us. She has been really depressed and crying - he was her mentor. Thank you for your thoughts.
