With a proud, but sad heart I am sharing with you what happened to my brave boy Cooper. Just two days ago I was laughing at the boys playing with the goats, horses, and cattle. They learned their lessons about being careful around the farm animals. But knowing the danger my brave boys jumped in and saved the day! You see my family came to visit today. My parents, sister and my nephew. We were having a great time. Great weather, good food, lots of fun. Then it happened, my world came crashing down. My sister, mother, nephew and I went to see the horses. We decided to go to the barn to saddle the horses to go for a ride. We didn't notice right away my nephew lagging behind. We knew when we heard the screams. He had went the wrong way, thru the wrong pen and ran into Bruno my bfs prized bull. All hell broke loose. Bruno went after my nephew. My nephew started screaming. Before we could get to him, my brave sweet boys ran to save him. Both Simba and Cooper went charging. They got Bruno away from my nephew. We pulled my nephew out without a mark on him. I called my boys to me to get them away from Bruno, they had done what was needed. Simba came running, so proud of what he did. But Cooper would not listen, he had this look in his eye that I knew he woudn't back down. My bf ran into the pen to get him, but it was too late. With one sweep of his horns, Bruno hit Cooper in the chest. My poor brave boy went to the ground never to get up agian. My bf grabbed him up and we drove him to the vets. But it was too late. He didn't make it. He gave his life for my nephew, and for that me and my family will never forget him. You always wonder if your dog would come to your ad if needed. My sweet brave Cooper did that and more!
I love you always and now we know why you came into our lives! Thank you brave Cooper, run and play in peace, Simba and Sage say they will take care of us now, you did what you sent to do!
