i got 1 from a rescue a month ago. she has some issues like being very scared. she was obviously abused. since we got her she is coming along great. im glad i didnt get another pup like last time because there are so many great dogs in rescues that need homes. this dog is so good my wife wanted to call last owner and ask why thet got rid of her but she obviously cant but there loss is our gain. the right dog is out there waiting for you. good luck.

We just adopted from a rescue last week. Our boy is absolutely wonderful, and the adoption process worked really well. The only cons I see are that you do, as others have said, need to be patient and trust that the organization will wait to give you a dog until everyone is sure it is a forever match. So it may take a little while. Also, we have had some training issues, since our guy probably never had much people interaction/training, but we knew that going in and it's not a problem. Again, patience is key. All in all, the pros far outweigh the cons in our case!
