Emma's Mama

Boxer Buddy
I rent an old 1902 1 bedroom apartment in Portland. Back then they made apartments rather large, so it is definitely large enoughg for Emma and I. Emma has lots of indoor energy but as long as I spend time playing with her she's just fine... I don't think it's as much the house size indoors that matters as it is the outside time they get.... I have a large, mostly fenced yard for her to run in and we go on daily walks... I think as long as you take the time to exercise her outside then your apartment sounds perfectly fine... But that's just my opioion...

We own our home. It's not very big but I don't think that really matters to a dog! Luckily we do have a large fenced in back yard for Austin (and sometimes Bart) to play in. Although he doesn't spend much time outside-only if we're out with him.:D

We own our own home, 3 + 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, dining room living room, rec room, high ranch. Big back yard with an inground pool. Dogs have their own side yard with access to garage, their own kiddy pool, a lot of grass and big trees.

As you see a lot of people has apartments and the dogs do fine, as long as they get a lot of exercise and fresh air.

own.

I make the payments, but Princess owns the house. :p
She's spoiled. She has stairs to run down and hardwood floors at the bottom to slide across (her favorite game). She also has a pool in her backyard and is an excellent landscaper.

(i'm definitely kidding on the landscaping part....)

Completely Boxer Crazy
We just sold our home and are currently living with the inlaws at their house. Although Junior had out/in access (we left the slider open for him) I think he was perfectly content to be inside all day with the door shut.

I would have no qualms about keeping him in a condo/ apt as long as he was walked in am and at night (plus a few extra tinkle trips)

I think the biggest thing is to keep them on a schedule as he seemed to hold his business even though the slider was open waiting for his "W"

Your life will definately change because they are so fun to take on walks, to the park , rides etc and you see their enthusiasm / thanks in their eyes... our lives really revolve around our bundle of joy!

I'd been waiting to get a boxer for almost 20 years. I wanted everything to be just perfect. I think it made raising Rowdy a lot more stress free. We have a 3-2-2 house with a 1/2 acre backyard with a 6 ft fence and a patio cover. Since the 3rd boy, Rowdy and Mattie haven't been able to come in near as much as they used to. They do get walked every day and the boys play with them almost every day as well. They usually do pretty well by themselves playing chase. Mattie howls at Rowdy everytime she almost catches him. (Rowdy teases her) I'm glad that I waited until I had the facilities.
