Hang in there Mandy. I can tell you that Diva had her first lump removed at just 9 months old. She has had numerous lumps removed since then - most have been benign, but one was a mast cell tumour on her neck - that was six months ago. Diva will be 6 years old in just over four months time and I plan on having her around for a lot longer yet. I have now gotten into a routine where I check Diva over at least once a week if not more often and if it looks slightly suspicious off to the vet we go. Fortunately thus far Monty has had no suspicious lumps appear on his body.

I know it is really horrible and upsetting when you discover one of these lumps. I hope all goes well with Riley and update us on Monday.

Sending lots of healing vibes your way! I bet Riley gets an extra special treat when he gets home. :)

Mandy, Rocky had a bump silimar to that under his chin as well. He scratched it open and there was blood everywhere! I was freaking out. It went away on it's own and now his chin is all normal again. Hopefully that will be the same for Riley as well. :)

Mandy- a few months ago Harley had one surgically removed from his back foot. It had been a scab like thing for several, several months & then it wouldn't quit bleeding. When I got the pathology report back, I had to pay extra for that , it was a histocytoma which I believe is benign.
Hopefully it will be the same result for Riley :)
Keep us posted...

I just wanted to say thank you all for your kind words and well wishes. It really does mean a lot to me. I'm still very worried about my baby boy, especially now that the big day is almost here. I'm sure he'll be just fine, but I will be so relieved when this is all over with. So, thanks again and I'll definitely post an update when Riley's safe and sound at home.

- Mandy
