Recomend a film for a good cry

Well pretty much any Disney movie.... they all seem to be tear jerkers.

"Homeward Bound" always makes me bawl like a baby. (I have a hard time watching any of the pet/animal movies.)

And most of the ones already mentioned!

LOL, I have!! My fiancee is a film student so hence, I get to see a lot of movies! (his dream is to be a camera assistant for movies).

Another good, old movie (very much a melodrama) is Stella Dallas made in 1937. If anyone wants a GOOD cry, watch this movie!!! It kills me everytime I watch it. Especially if you are a mother or a daughter And no one dies in this movie.

The Disney movie "Eight Below" is a great movie but also a tear jerker!!! I just watched it for the second time and was still sitting there crying!! Maybe it's because it's an animal movie and it's based on a true story, who knows but I love it!!!

This is at the top of my all-time favorites! Also I just watched again Schindler's List #3 on the most inspirational films of all time.
There are some great ones on this list that I haven't thought of in a long time that I am going to watch again. Green Mile still gets me too.

Without a doubt two of the best tear jerkers (Mariah Carey's Glitter, & J-Lo's Gigli). These movies are so horrible that you may have uncontrollable outbursts of sobbing for weeks.

My DH came up with a great definition of what a "Chick Flick" is...

"A film in which the absolute worst possible outcome is not world annihilation, or dominace over humans by aliens, or losing the big game, but where one of the main charachters might/ will have to live without love."

Truly Madly Deeply

I always cry in Truly Madly Deeply with Alan Rickman, he plays Jamie a boyfriend who dies and comes back to see his girlfriend Nina played by Juliet Stevenson, it is called Truly Madly Deeply because they play this game which is one of my fave scenes -

Nina: I love you.
Jamie: I love you.
Nina: I really love you.
Jamie: I really, truly love you.
Nina: I really, truly, madly love you.
Jamie: I really, truly, madly, deeply love you.
Nina: I really, truly, madly, deeply, passionately love you.
Jamie: I really, truly, madly, deeply, passionately, remarkably love you.
Nina: I really, truly, madly, deeply, passionately, remarkably, umm... deliciously love you.
Jamie: I really, truly, madly, passionately, remarkably, deliciously... juicily love you.

It is a very sad film :(

I have to agree with "The Notebook" and "Steel Magnolias" and "The Green Mile" - all good tear jerkers. I also cried watching "Big Fish" and "City of Angels".

But maybe the best cryfest movie out there is "The Color Purple"...excellent movie.
