This happened to me once. My daughter had some friends over and we were sitting outside at the fire pit. The staffy was with us maybe a month by this time. She was very unsocialized and craved human affection. By anyone that would give it to her. She was always paws up on everyone's laps. Well, she went up on this guys lap, he was 17. He yelled at her to get down. I then said, "just stand up and she will ..." and before I could finish, he shoved her off and she flew back into my chair. I was ready to nail the kid and shove him right off his chair. I refrained and said very firmly, "That was totally unneccessary! And you took a great risk in bullying a pitbull. She's a rescue and we don't know her history. If she retailiated and bit you, you would have deserved it!" Then I proceeded to continue the conversation with the rest of the kids. The were all gobsmacked and their mouths were all hanging open and eyes all bulged. Guess they didn't realize I never hold back! LOL
That a#@hole of a kid never said another word, nor ever showed up at my house. And all the kids, doglovers or not, gave my dogs respect!
Alex, my daughter, says her friends love me cause I don't hold back. I'm not like all the other Mom's that are pushovers and let their kids walk all over them. The only one that can push one over one me is my Lily. But boxer's do that to all their owners don't they?
