We have a couple people we know that aren't really big fans of dogs- and of course, Bella is an even bigger fan of people that aren't fans of her! One of my fiance's friends came over a while ago, and Bella was sitting in front of him kidney beaning, and trying to get his attention, and he SMACKED her in the face. Of course, my fiance pretty much freaked on him and told him he was gonna "smack" him if he touched her ever again.
Then, my fiance's sister was at a party at my father's house this weekend, and the dogs were trying to sniff her baby (6 months old), and she kicked one away, and shoved another (the one she shoved is my father's 7 year old German Shepherd that has bitten in the past when provoked, so not so smart on her part! I was secretly hoping she'd bite her to teach her a lesson).
I guess I just don't understand why people who KNOW we have two dogs still continue to come around if our dogs REALLY irritate them to the point of hitting them! Even after we've told them to NOT touch our dogs. Unfortunately we don't realize when they're doing "annoying" things to people, because they're not annoying to US, but they could say "Hey, they're kind of annoying me, could you crate them?" instead of kicking/hitting them. I mean clearly they aren't concerned with "upsetting us" if they're shoving or kicking our dogs away from them.
