Coco'smommy
Boxer Insane
We had a freaky thing happen that scared me and was not something I would have ever imagined. We have a trampoline in the back yard with the netting around the side. Right under the door it has came lose from the trampoline frame - something that is on the to do list but not done yet. I was out on the deck talking on the phone. Dozer & Coco were out playing and I saw Dozer jump up on the trampoline which was kind of funny because he had never done it before. You can't see the door well on the trampoline because our deck is high and a tree limb blocks the view. I saw him jumping around and heard him whining but didn't pay much attention to it because I thought he just didn't want to jump down. Well then it started not sounding right so I went down the stairs and he had his front leg through the door but had managed to get it back down on the trampoline and had twisted it so many times and so tight that I couldn't get his leg out and when I tried he just screamed so I knew it was hurting. I yelled for my husband at least three times and finally I ran to the house thinking - I have to cut it off! I ran in the kitchen, yelled at my husband to help me and out the door I went with scissors in one hand and a knife in the other. DH was like, what is going on, what are you doing. We got down there and I picked Dozer up and DH was strong enough to untwist the netting without pulling on his leg and loosened it up until I got it out. By then the neighbors were outside to see if we were all okay and what was up. I know I was screaming at the top of my lungs, HELP ME and the dog was yelping. It was awful. I just knew his leg was broke or something. Anyway, he was fine. I carried him in the house and gently put him down and he went right over to the water bowl and got a drink then started playing with is toys like nothing ever happened, he never even acted like it was sore or anything. That scared the heck out of me though. DH said are your ready to take that stupid thing down now? He didn't ever want in the first place because of safety issues, I can't really argue that with him now.
