What type of car do you drive? I ask because we went for a ride tonight with Megan and she took up the whole back seat as she slept. So what happens with two boxers in the back seat? I'm sure they adjust but a mini van might be in order. :D

When we first got Duke we had a Cavalier, that didnt last long at all! Duke would take up all kinds of room and he didnt look very comfy. So we traded it in for a 4 door Blazer. And he loves it. About 2 months ago we got our 2nd Boxer, who is already for the most part full grown, like Duke. So the xtra room is great. We dont have any skin kids yet but I think that when they start coming around we will have to go for something bigger still. I am trying to talk my husband in to a Surburban!! He says no, lol... smashicon

We have two 85 lb. boxers both female flashy fawns, we have a chev. conversion van and love it . we have plenty of room for both boxers and more people, On long trips we can even put the bed down and they can spread out as far as they like.they love the trips, and are always ready to go. ours are 8 and 4 and the joy of our lives Sil

Your post makes me laugh cause I am now beginning to research new cars and I was instructed that I need an SUV. Why...we have no kids...we are smaller people...the dogs need more room of course :D

My hubby thinks the extended cab in his truck is to small and the car is to small as well (its a full sized Lumina). He thinks they need an SUV so we can get a barrier and sit the dogs in back.

Oh well...I won't argue. I would look cute in an SUV anyways. Now I have to convince him a suburban is out of line and an Escape will do nicely

We have a Landrover 4 wheel drive and the dogs like to sit on the pull down seats at the back....they look like a couple of bookends!!

I recently got an Explorer and I love it! I promptly put up one of those gate things to keep the dogs from hopping over the seat. I often drive dogs around for the rescue, so I thought just once I would try to keep Boxer hair off the seats. I swear that the hairs just drill right in and then nothing can get them out.

My two boxer girl enjoy getting chaeffered around in my Jeep Grand Ckerokee. We put the bact seats down so they wouldn't get all hairy. It has lots of room for all of us.

You are reading my mind! I am going car shopping this weekend. I have a two door civic that worked fine when it was just Hook and me...but now I have a boyfriend and Dayla and we dont all fit in there.
Although I would love an SUV, that wont work for me in this area. I commute at least an hour to and from work and an SUV is just too expensive around here with the gas prices.

I hear you! I am originally from Alexandria, VA. It used to take me an hour each day to get to my job in Crystal City. Now I live in Green Bay, WI and we don't even have traffic reports here!

We have been battling the same thing. Since moving I now commute an hour and 20 minutes one way and I really want an SUV. Jason and I decided that it just isn't economical to get one. Even if the gas prices were to go down we would still be using way too much gas. My two just aren't comfy in my 2 door Acura Integra. Jason wants a truck...but I don't think that will work either. Any other suggestions, or any SUV's that get great gas mileage????
