it's a normal puppy behavior. when she bites stand up and leave the room for a minute. they hate being ignored or being left alone. she'll figure out if she bites she'll be ignored pretty quickly and the biting will stop. how old is your puppy?

oh...and i'd avoid "whooping" as it is an ineffective way to train a dog.

Try and re direct her attention to a chew toy. To a puppy, EVERYTHING is a chew toy, including you. If she insists on biting you, make a loud YELP, and leave the room. It will take time and patience, but she'll learn that biting you = you leaving.

10 weeks is definitely too young to be "whooping" on her (ANY age is, for that matter).

This is NORMAL puppy behavior.

Please use positive redirection and substitute a nice chew toy for your hand, whenever she is biting you. She is just a puppy

Remember that dogs have no equivalent of "pushing away" - when they swat another dog with their paws it's usually an invitation to play. When they climb on another dog, it's a dominance display. Either way it's an engagement encouraging a reaction, not an order to stop.

Yelp, turn away, and leave, if possible. That's dog for "you hurt me and I'm not playing with you."
