Boxer Insane
I actually turned down a product because the pet store it was in sold puppies and kittens. I was in the process of looking for an aquarium stand. The one I have has a unique shape to it and I called quite a few before I found the one I needed. When walked up to the door I could immediately see the cages full of puppies and kittens...I was so sad and disappointed to see how happy everyone in the store was and how these people were fawning over the animals. I turned around and left without the stand. I called the humane society the next day because one pup had the red splayed out paw pads that looked so painful...the last I heard they were trying to persuade the owner into surrendering the pup. I never got any follow through and I know I will never go to that store again!

One of the things I want to do (when I finally graduate and have time) is put together some information regarding puppy mills and responsible pet ownership and breeding and take it over to this place called Traders Villiage and hand them out to everyone who will take one. {This place is like a huge flea market. And in a particular area there are always people "breeders" that sell puppies, reptiles, birds, etc (you get the picture).} here in Houston.

These "breeders" will probably hate me (as well as the establishment) but ask me if I care.

Completely Boxer Crazy
When I bought Kelseigh (I am not proud of where she came from and that I bought her from a petstore, BUT I wouldnt trade her for the world)...she was 11 weeks old..weighed 9lbs, had a class 2 heart murmur and a very bad underbite oh yes and she had demodex. I found the name on her paperwork of the so called "breeder" who was in connection with the "mill". I sent the "breeder" person a picture of my sweet baby girl, and a letter which I must say was very nice. I told them how much joy she had brought into my life but that there were some issues with her that I thought they should know and might want to stop the breeding process with her mother and father. Like I said....I know that buying her from the petstore was not the best decision, BUT....she is my heart and soul and I couldnt imagine life now without her.....and the letter was not mean at all, but to this day and it has been two years...I never heard a word from those people.
My girl came from the Hunt Group ...where of course...is in the mid west. I did some research on them through the internet and was very upset at what I had found.
