Hello, I recently left my 3 month old to a friend to take care of over the weekend, the first day he had no problems, but the second day he is peeing in people's homes, when he does not pee or poo in my home, and apparently he is being very aggressive even after he gets put in his kennel for time out.

do you think it's because he misses his actually owners? or he's getting used to peeing in their house? dominance possibly?

Thank you.

Sounds more like change of house, change of rules and the sitters not being on top of puppy training 101. Even my 6 & 8 yr old will have accidents in other's homes if I am not on top of their signals or taking them out more often than at home. They will be more active in a strange place, nervous, cautious, hence they will often pee more often and poop softer, even poop liquid. It's a huge change to be somewhere without their owner close by.

Have you discussed with them your preferences on discipline and training? Is it possible they aren't as knowlegable as you are? Sitters can often be more into the puppy than the rearing part. LOL They don't mind a mess or two when they know the pup will leave soon.

To me, it's just lack of knowledge about your pup and not being on top of signals. Also with behaviors, they just may not know the proper way to train a puppy. They may just be good pup sitters but can't plan on the pup coming home with any new tricks, just bad behaviors you have to erase.

It could be a reaction to a change of place or routine. As you know puppies need their routines and need to burn up energy. If your friends left him too long in his crate it could be a reaction to that. 3 months is a young age and they are just getting use to your home and they get uprooted again. I realize it was just a weekend put a puppy doesn't know that. Maybe next time you can get your friends to watch the pup in your house instead of theirs. I found this works best with my dogs and they have long left puppyhood.
