Thanks to all for your wonderful comments.
. Both of our fur kids bring us smiles and laughs every day! What an awesome breed! And our interest in boxers started on a very bad day. My wife's German Shepherd, Bear 
, had to be put down due to infirmities :( . That same day, when she and my son were back from the vet, sitting in the living room feeling very bummed, they saw a dog loose in our backyard. Turns out this dog, a female fawn boxer, had gotten loose from her home a couple of blocks away. Long story short, this female, named Sister, escaped from her own backyard while her owners were away on vacation, and there was a friend taking care of Sister. It took us around 7 days to find all this out. In the meantime, we kept Sister with us because: 1. We wanted to make sure she was reunited with her family, 2. She was in heat, and we couldn't let her run around that way! 3. She was so sweet, well-mannered, and so darn cute! After all that (and another short stay with us when Sister decided to escape and hang out with us again!), we began to get hooked! A couple of months later we got 8 wk old Casey, and life has never been the same! What a disposition they have! Again, thanks to all, hope this little story wasn't too rambling. :D

Yup, that is Haystack Rock. There is also a smaller beach just south of Cannon Beach called (I think) Arcadia Beach. I say smaller, but its still a good 1+ mile long. Its another great place to go if you want to deal with fewer people, which is what we prefer since Casey thinks that everyone is her best friend, who she absolutely must rush up to greet! For some reason not all people like having a boxer jump on them! Hmm...
