I have been blessed with a new addition to my home. A handsome male flashy fawn, his name is Maximus. I was lucky enough to be with him since his birth on 11.28.01. One thing that has surprised me is constant need to be by my side at all times! Not that it bothers me, it is quite appealing. He has brought an enormous amount of joy to my life. I am so glad that he picked me to be his Momma. He came from a litter of 11, 4 males and 7 females. I had the pleasure of puppy sitting them for a week around Christmas and one day he looked at me jumped into my arms and licked me to death. I knew at that moment he wanted to be with me and we are one happy family.

What a wonderful story. I probably would haved wanted to take all of them home. Ozzy was from a litter of 11 also. He was the first one to come to me, so it had to be him. Any pictures?

Pictures, are you kidding I couldn't help myself, I have gone so far as to get a digital camera, so I won't have to wait for the developing. I have them on CD Rom, unfortunately they are at my office. I have a sond sleeping boy on my hands and I have finally been able to post on the site. This is a great site, before I made the big decision, I frequented this site often. I will post his latest 8x10 glossy soon. Thanks,

My new pup, Ally, is the same way. I can't imagine having to teach her "heel", as she's already there. I just have to remember to look before stepping sideways or backwards, as she prefers to be within a foot or so of me at all times.

We're going to have to try something different at bedtime tonight, as being in her crate at the foot of our bed seems to be too far away for her. A cardboard box I can dangle a hand in from the bed will be tonight's attempt. :D
