I'm just curious what you all use for cleaning up pet hair! We have a futon with a slipcover I throw in the wash, but we'd like to get a new sofa. DH doesn't want Magoo on the new sofa because of all his shedding. That's not ok with me because magoo loves to cuddle with his family on the couch. So what do you all do about the hair, dust buster? pet hair/Lint brush really doesn't work that well for furniture IMO.
Also I'm thinking about buying a Bissel flip it, it claims to vacuam your hardwood floors then wash and dry them, my daughter will be crawling in a few more months and I need to get a better handle on the floor mess (sweeping daily isn't really cutting it).
So do any of you have things you use that you love? Any suggestions would be great =)

We have a leather couch and Willis is not allowed on unless his blankie is on there. He has managed to get up on it without his blanket and has never scratched the leather. We have to get a second couch for our upstairs living room and I think we'll be going with leather again. :) .

I actually vaccum my couch it's microsuede and everything comes right off, but we also put down a blanket. If I can recommend something to diminish shedding, buy a nice big rubber hand brush, take Magoo outside and brush in circle with the brush, you will be AMAZED at the amount of hair that comes out (trust me that's why you should do it outside) afterwards the shedding inside is usually drastically reduced. Hope it helps!

I agree, get one of those rubber toothed combs and brush the heck out of them. Do it outside because there is a lot of hair that comes off. It feels really good to them, and you feel better knowing that 10 pounds of hair that you just brushed off them won't be on your furniture!

Oh yeah... the rubber combs are wonderful! It looks like I could weave a whole new Willis out of the hair that comes off :D .

we have the zoom groom I was using it pretty diligently for awhile and then started slacking. I definitly need to be brushing him more to keep the hair outside so I don't need to worry about cleaning it.
Magoo is always running full speed and bouncing off the couch I'm afraid he would rip leather sofas. It's something to think about though.

Things I couldn't live without:

1. Vacuum: I vacuum the couch, loveseat, and chair everyday.
2. Lint roller: I use this after vacuuming, for any hair left over.
3. Miracle Coat Waterless Shampoo Spray for Puppies: I use this everyday on Chloe. You spray it on, rub it in, and that's it. She smell's great and no "doggy" smell inside. After this drys, I brush Chloe's hair.
4. No odor spray: I don't remember the technical name of this stuff but it's for any pet odors (accidents in the house, doggy smell) and safe around pets. I spray the furniture daily with it. I even use it on my floors every now and then, to keep everything smelling fresh. :)

We recently got new leather couches and the furbabies are not allowed on them unless their blanket is on it. We had leather couches before these and they were constantly on those, but they ended up scratching them up pretty bad. I was worried when we got the new couches, but it really didn't take them long at all to learn that they weren't allowed on the new couches. Now I just lay down with the blanket on me and they both just climb on top of me and snuggle with me. So we haven't lost our snugglers. I also bought them a new doggie bed and they love sleeping on that now, when we are in the living room.
